How to log into the web-based management interface of Powerline ac Extender

This Article Applies to: 

The web-based management page is a built-in internal web server that does not require internet access. It does however require you device to be connected to the TP-Link device.

Note: Low version of your web browser may cause compatibility problem with the web-based interface(management page) of your device, such as unable to log into the interface, display incomplete features etc.

There are two methods to log into the management interface.

Method 1: Via web browser

Follow the steps below:

1. Connect your device to the powerline extender wirelessly. Find the Wi-Fi Info Card in the package if you do not know the default wireless settings and connect to the default Wi-Fi using the SSID and password on the card.

2. Open a web browser such as Safari, Google Chrome or Internet Explorer. At the top of the window in the address bar type in http://tplinkplc.net to open the management interface.

3. Enter admin (the default username and password) for both username and password, and click Login.

Method 2: Via tpPLC utility

Follow the steps below:

  1. Refer to How to prepare for using the tpPLC Utility? to use the tpPLC Utility.
  2. Open the utility, move your mouse over your powerline extender, and click the click icon that appears beside it.
  3. Enter admin (the default username and password) for both username and password, and click Login.
